Innovation: Beaujolais is the first tourist region with GPS audio-guided tours

Audio guided tours can now be downloaded from http://www.beaujolais.com/page.php?page=DT1257408836&lang=fr&codej=france&time=20100730042029 to supplement the Beaujolais Wine Route.
For the moment, there are three tours on line: “Beaujolais Wine Route”, “Beaujolais Vert” (green Beaujolais) and “Beaujeu”. Each of the tours has 8 tracks, with themes including Beaujeu, Oingt, Mont Brouilly, Moulin à Vent and the Lac des Sapins with discovery of Beaujolais land and wines as a permanent backdrop.
There will be four other geolocated audio-guides on line by the summer of 2011. Aimed at highlighting the future Beaujolais Wine Route, these recordings give added depth to the charm of our vineyard.
The audio tours themselves are by Zevisit, the world leader in audio-guides, in collaboration with the Pays Beaujolais Tourist Offices. The principle is simple; the audio tour can be downloaded to just listen to (e.g. on an mp3 player or audio CD) or, for a full visit (audio and GPS directions) visitors can use it with their GPS system throughout their excursion in the Beaujolais region.
When it is finished, this ‘Beaujolais audio library’ should bring together around sixty tracks illustrating the marvellous wine tourism potential of the Beaujolais region.
Why wait? Follow the Beaujolais Wine Route! Up hill and down dale, through the warmth of the Pierres Dorées (golden stone) area, from end to end of the Beaujolais vineyards... seduction by landscape at every turn.
