Le Printemps des Beaujolais, 8th June 2013.

On 8th June 2013, Villefranche is celebrating Beaujolais wines!

On the programme, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.:
- Tasting of the Beaujolais Greats along Rue Nationale – the main shopping street – and in over 50 partner cafés and restaurants.
- Explore Villefranche’s heritage.
- 4 p.m.: Café waiters’ race.
- 4.30 p.m.: Big parade along Rue Nationale.
Entertainment throughout the town.

The course selected for this new route brings you the highlights of each of our 12 appellations.

 

In this bilingual French/English guidebook you will find a wealth of information including 177 tasting cellars that meet the "Beaujolais: une terre, des vins, un accueil privilégie" (beaujolais: one land, a range of wines, choice welcome) charter.

Through our vineyards, all along the wine route, you will meet men and women with varied backgrounds and approaches to vinegrowing and winemaking that are sometines different but who all have a passion for Beaujolais vines and wines that is one and the same. They are committed to passing this passion on to you, acting as a perfect relay for the spirit of Beaujolais that has its foundations in exchange and conviciality, the key to a very Beaujolais welcome.
